We really like the unibody philosophy Apple uses in its products, so we sought to use the same concept when designing the MiDock. We wanted to use Aluminium given its uses in many Apple products, so we started with a cuboid and began to alter its shape to form the basis of a dock. It was really important that we only altered the shape where it complemented the iPhone 5.
